Dr. Ravi D’Cruz

Dr. Ravi D'Cruz is a Neonatologist in Seattle, WA with special training and skill in providing care to critically ill and premature newborn infants. He majored in architecture as an undergraduate at Yale and worked as a lead designer for Robert Stern Architects in New York prior to enrolling in the Yale School of Architecture for his M.Arch. After deciding to change paths to pursue a career in medicine, he was accepted to the The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and subsequently completed his Pediatrics Residency and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at Brown. As a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Pediatrician, Dr. D'Cruz's clinical expertise is in diagnosing and treating sick newborn infants with a range of conditions including prematurity, infections, breathing disorders, birth defects etc and he also works closely in consultation with obstetrical colleagues to plan for the care of mothers who have high-risk pregnancies.
Throughout his medical career, Ravi has sought to use his rich background in design to improve medical care and has been involved in numerous projects to promote the intersection between design and health. He has served as a clinical advisor for multiple Brown University Biomedical Engineering capstone projects and co-directed an interdisciplinary course on medical design for the Rhode Island School of Design and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
